I always felt art was something that linked our essence with our physical being. How ever I express in my work -- ideas, memories, emotions, feelings -- I express through color, form, symbols, relationships or contrasts. These things give hyper focus to the details surrounding our everyday experiences and a personal look to how I see the world.
Time and space have always intrigued me, and are often depicted in my work through imagery, surface treatment, or the layering of objects and textures. I often combine contemporary elements with the natural world.
Finding beauty in textures created by nature, decay and wear, I find an escape from the rigid world society has constructed: taking inspiration not only from other artists, but also from details others may rarely notice.
